Part-Time Sales Assistant (Seasonal)

Capital Homes is one of Tulsa’s leading new home builders, offering a variety of homes around the Tulsa
Metro area, including Owasso, Jenks, Bixby, Broken Arrow, Coweta, and Sand Springs.

We take pride in upholding our original purpose: to provide affordable homes of superior quality for our neighbors, and to do it the right way. Capital Homes is currently seeking a Sales Assistant that will join our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting potential buyers with a professional demeanor, positive attitude and spirit of helpfulness
  • Supporting sales team by completing critical administrative tasks with speed and accuracy
  • Generate weekly updates for sales team to share with buyers, including photo and video content of home
    sites/progress each week
  • Qualifying buyers and assisting them throughout their decision-making process
  •  Demonstrating model home key features and benefits
  • Providing product and pricing information
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to the sales team and prospective buyers
  • Keeping detailed records of potential buyer information and interactions within the CRM system
  • Assist sales team with various needs related to sales and marketing
  • Running errands as needed to support sales and marketing efforts
  • Assemble informational marketing materials for potential clients and realtor events
  • Maintain both paper and electronic filing system

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships, as well as close deals
  • Demonstrated success in sales, with at least one year of sales experience preferred
  • Polished and professional demeanor 
  • Strong work ethic
  • Exceptional listening skills
  • Flexible, "can do" attitude with a positive team spirit
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work in a cloud-based CRM system
  • Ability to work on weekends as needed
  • Willingness to commute up to one hour from your home to different communities
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Job Description

The Accountant will play a critical role within our Accounting and Finance Department. This position will report directly to the CFO. The position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and excellent analytical and communication skills. Preferred candidates will have experience in home building, construction, or real estate development. 

Ideal candidates are hands-on, detail-oriented, thorough, analytical, and possess good reasoning and communication skills. Successful team members are able to multi-task, prioritize without explicit direction, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process journal entries
  • Perform weekly AP/AR (billing)
  • Post bank deposits and create related cash receipt journals
  • Assist resolution of vendor related questions as needed
  • Perform bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare loan draws as needed
  • Conduct monthly close procedures and ensure deadlines are met
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Develop policies and procedures and ensure adherence to guidelines
  • Review SG&A expenses and provide coding
  • Prepare House Profit Analyses and review gross profit margins for each sales contract
  • Review, compile, and process employee credit card expense reports for accuracy and appropriate documentation
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist in providing value-added monthly variance analysis of the company financials to assist in the decision-making process
  • Process timely payment of property taxes
  • Ad-hoc projects as directed by CFO

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Preferred experience (3+ years) in home building or other construction/real estate industry
  • Strong Microsoft Office / Excel skills required with an emphasis on pivot tables, formulas, and effective presentation of information
  • Experience using IHMS homebuilding system preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work efficiently as a part of team as well as independently
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
